Amitov Yernar Tanbergenuly has been appointed the new director of the Institute of Energy and Green Technologies at Energo University. The previous director, Begimbetova Ainur Serikbayevna, moved to the position of director of the Center for New Energy Policy, established at the university in December 2024.
Yernar Amitov is a graduate of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications (Bachelor of Engineering and Technology in the field of Electric Power Engineering).
He received a Master's degree in Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering ("High Voltage Engineering") and completed full-time postgraduate studies in Electrical and Thermal Engineering at the National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University.
Candidate of Technical Sciences, specialty "Electrotechnical materials and products", Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), specialty "Electric Power Engineering".
Prior to his appointment as Director of the Institute of Energy and Green Technologies, he headed the Department of Electric Power Engineering from September 2022.
