The student club "Ulagat" of the Energo University celebrated the beginning of spring with a bright event, presenting its theatrical production based on the work of the Kazakh writer Dulat Isabekov "Gauhar tas".
This work, reflecting important social themes and the feelings of the characters, was adapted for the stage by an initiative group of students.
The play was prepared under the active leadership of the president of the club "Ulagat" Aibek Abdirakhman (SIBk) and his team-mates: Aibek Ersanatuly (ISk), Zhibek Urinbekova (BTMSAk), Aslanbek Taskarin and Moldir Iman (RETk).
Important roles in the production were played by: Alikhan Nazarbai (SIBk), Yerbolat Musagali (EEk) and Aidana Tileubekova (Bzhdk).
Production became an important cultural event for the university, emphasizing the importance of Kazakh literature in modern theatrical art. The sincere acting caused a range of emotions among the audience.

Dulat Isabekov is a Kazakh writer and playwright. In 1975, as a young soldier, Dulat Isabekov heard the beautiful song "Gauhar tas". The performance inspired homesickness, which became the reason for writing a new work, which later became a film. Dulat Isabekov passed away on February 21, 2025, a week before the production of his play on the stage of Energo University. The students honored the memory of the author of the work.
