Energo University Dormitories

For a comfortable stay for students, the university offers three modern dormitories, conveniently located in close proximity to the academic buildings.


Description of the dormitories

  • All students requiring housing will be placed in one of the four dormitories, which are situated close to the academic buildings.
  • Capacity for up to 1,700 students.
  • Each building of the hostel has a kitchen, recreation rooms, sports rooms, showers and laundries equipped with modern appliances — washing machines and dryers.

The following categories of students have priority for dormitory accommodation:
• persons left without parental care upon reaching adulthood
• persons with disabilities of groups I, II, and III, disabled children, or with parents with disabilities of groups I and II (both or one)
• rural youth admitted to specialties determining the socio-economic development of the village
• applicants and students from large families with 3 or more children under 18 years old besides the student, who is not more than 21 years old during the period of study
• students studying under the state educational order or on a full-pay basis and who have come from remote regions of the Republic

Payment for accommodation is not charged from applicants and students from among:
• orphans
• children with special educational needs (According to the rules for assessing special educational needs Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 12.01.22)
• children left without parental care and under guardianship (custody)

Note: Applicants and students entitled to benefits must additionally provide scans and copies of the following documents:
• certificate of disability of parents or one of the family members
• death certificate of parents
• their own birth certificate and birth certificates of their younger brothers and sisters
• students registered for diseases entitling them to benefits, if there are supporting documents: VCC certificate form No. 026 or No. 027
• students with disabilities of groups 1, 2, and 3, if there are supporting documents: current disability certificate
• other documents confirming the provision of benefits
• if documents are provided in an improper volume and incomplete list, benefits are not provided
• if documents are provided at a later date, benefits are provided from the moment of re-signing the contract, previously paid amounts are not refunded

The following documents must be provided:
• identity card (3 copies)
• photos 3*4 - 3 pieces
• fluorography (validity period not more than 10 months)
• medical certificate No. 075-U

The basis for providing places in the dormitory is an application (of the established form addressed to the rector).
The application is submitted:
• to the Platonus educational portal
• all required documents are attached in scanned form
• all applicants and students who have submitted applications are notified of the decision made by the commission through the Platonus portal or by posting the order on the official social pages of the university
• notification of refusal or satisfaction of the application submitted by applicants is provided no later than 2-3 working days
• lease agreements are signed with applicants and students whose applications have been approved by the commission for the distribution of places in dormitories
• after signing the contract and making the first payment (for at least 3 months of residence), the applicant has the right to settle in the dormitory

• A student who has received a referral (contract) for a place in the dormitory must settle in the dormitory within 3 working days
• If it is impossible to settle within the established time, the student must inform the directorate of their institute
• If item 1 is not complied with, the contract is canceled and the student loses the right to settle in the dormitory. Control over timely settlement is assigned to the directorates of institutes jointly with dormitory managers
• The settlement process is monitored DAILY
• Students who have submitted applications in a timely manner for a place in the university dormitory but did not receive a place may claim it as vacancies arise during the academic year
• Moving from one dormitory to another during the academic year is PROHIBITED
ORDER

The Situation Center for providing students with dormitory places is actively working to promptly respond to housing problems arising among students. To improve the efficiency and accessibility of its services, the Center has launched a round-the-clock call center, which will operate 24/7.

The call center will provide constant support to students, allowing them to quickly resolve issues and problems related to accommodation in dormitories, regardless of the time of day. All the work of the call center is aimed at promptly solving problems, providing up-to-date information about the availability of places and application processes, as well as helping to resolve unforeseen situations.
