«HackAtom: Rehearse modeling skills» - the first large-scale mathematical modeling tournament from Rosatom was held in Almaty under this name. It was attended by 13 teams from 7 Kazakhstani universities, including the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev (Energo University).

The head of the team is PhD, assistant professor of the Department of Thermal Power Engineering Gulmira Akimbek.
The topic of the competition was mathematical modeling in the field of industrial digital solutions. The content of the tasks was related to the 1D simulation REPEAT. In particular, the participants solved the problem of modeling the heat flow in a shell-and-tube heat exchanger and determined the temperatures of the pipe walls under various operating conditions.
According to the results of the competition, students of the Institute of Energy and Green Technologies of Energo University took the honorable 4th place. Congratulations on their achievement and wish them further development in a new direction for them!
