A comprehensive diploma project was dedicated to solving the problem of ensuring the energy needs of a specific locality – the remote village of Rubezhinskoye in the West Kazakhstan region, which was completed by students of the Department of Automation and Control of Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev).
The topic of the graduation project is "Development of a combined automated system of electricity and heat supply using renewable energy sources." The project was carried out by students of the specialty "Automation and Control" Dastan Moryak, Madi Kemelbek, Maksat Smagulov and Yerasyl Muratov under the guidance of Professor Lida Ibraeva.
Solar panels and a wind turbine were chosen as the main sources of energy. Rechargeable batteries are used to store excess energy. A diesel generator is provided as a backup source. To solve the problem of heat supply, it is proposed to use solar collectors.
Calculations of the required energy covering the needs of the village of Rubezhinskoye, located in the West Kazakhstan region, from where one of the authors of the diploma project came to study at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications.
During the implementation of the project, the students made a choice of automation equipment. We have developed a Scada system, an automated system for monitoring the energy supply process. And to confirm the efficiency of the project, the graduates produced a physical layout, the operation of which is controlled automatically using the developed software.
- The presented project received a well-deserved excellent assessment from the attestation commission, which traditionally includes not only university professors, but also production specialists, - said Igor Fedorenko, Director of the Institute of Automation and Information Technology. – The implementation of such projects shows that when solving specific tasks, our students successfully put into practice the knowledge gained in automation, programming and other areas.
