The student futsal team of Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev), led by coach Nikolay Bocharnikov, has become the champion of the Alma CUP city student league.
More than 20 teams from universities and colleges in Almaty participated in the competition. In the final, our players faced the strongest team from SDU and won a hard-fought victory with a score of 4:3. The best player of the tournament was also a member of our team – Almas Imanbekov.
This victory is a testament to the growing skill of our university team. Last year, the Energo University footballers finished in second place in the Alma CUP championship. By the end of 2023, they became champions of Kazakhstan among student teams. The victory in Alma CUP-2024 is a natural continuation of these achievements and a testament to the hard work of the players and the coach. Ahead lie new ambitious goals and victories.
