A delegation from Université de Lorraine (France) visited Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev) to explore the possibilities of developing joint dual-degree programs in the field of «Renewable Energy».
The guests were introduced to our university's high-tech educational and scientific laboratories, including three laboratories for the study of renewable energy sources, established in partnership with USAID; ENERGYNET.LAB, the first and only laboratory in Kazakhstan for training specialists in digital energy; and the Siemens Training Center, the only one in Central Asia, designed for conducting seminars, training sessions, and laboratory work on relay protection, automation, and digitalization in power engineering.
After familiarizing themselves with the laboratories of interest, representatives of Université de Lorraine discussed with Energo University Rector Gani Nygymetov the prospects for further cooperation and the possibilities of developing and launching an English-language dual-degree program.
