Students studying IT disciplines at Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev) visited one of the country's largest banks – «Halyk Bank» - as part of the Open Doors Day. Agreements for these events were reached during discussions on forms of cooperation at a meeting between the management of the bank's personnel development department and the institute of automation and information technologies, where students of IT specialties are trained.
At "Halyk Bank," students from the Cybersecurity Department - specializing in "Information Security Systems" and "Information Security of Financial Structures" - as well as those studying at the IT Engineering Department - specializing in "Information Systems," "Computer Engineering and Programming," "Informatics," and "Software Engineering" - had the opportunity to visit. Specialists from the HR department and the IT department addressed the students, talking about effective networking, employment opportunities at "Halyk Bank," how to write a resume, and successfully pass an interview. Important topics such as "Digital Products and Bank Projects" and "Testing of Transaction Systems" were also discussed.
The meeting with the bank's specialists and the peculiarities of its work generated significant interest and feedback from the students. The management of the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies at Energo University expresses gratitude to "Halyk Bank" for the thoughtful and very substantive conduct of the open days. It is important to note that during the open days, teachers from the Cybersecurity and IT Engineering departments discussed forms of further cooperation with Halyk Bank specialists, including giving guest lectures at the university, students undertaking training and internships.
