At Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumbarbek Daukeev), the Republican subject Olympiad in the field of «Automation and Control» took place. The right to host the event was awarded to the university after our student Ruslan Semyatov took first place in the individual standings at the previous Republican Olympiad. Prior to this, Energo University students had won Republican subject Olympiads in «Automation and Control» in 2019 and 2021. This means that over the past 5 years, the university has been hosting the Olympiad in this field for the third time – in 2020, 2022, and 2024.
Moreover, the participants' composition has become the most representative to date, with 15 Universities from various regions of the country:

At the Republican Olympiads in «Automation and Control», tasks include educational material on three specialized subjects: «Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering», «Linear Automatic Control Systems», and «Nonlinear Automatic Control Systems». In addition, students from the organizing university participate outside the competition.
- We are pleased that among the participants are universities located from the North to the South and from the West to the East of our country, - noted Igor Fedorenko, Director of the Institute of Automation and Information Technology at Energo University. However, this is not surprising, as specialists in automation and digitalization are needed in almost all fields of activity. Moreover, the Olympiad once again showed that the specialty of «Automation and Control» attracts the attention of not only boys but also girls.
According to the regulations for conducting subject Olympiads, one first place, two second places, and three third places are awarded in the individual standings. In the individual standings, the places were distributed as follows:
1st place - Elaman Askarov (K. Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University);
2nd place - Diana Butakova (Kazakh-British Technical University);
2nd place - Tomiris Koben (S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University);
3rd place - Erlan Marlan (A. Saginov Karaganda State Technical University);
3rd place - Aruzhan Khairbulatova (K. Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University);
3rd place - Asset Masalimov (Shakarim State University).
Also, according to the tradition established at Energo University, during the subject Olympiad in «Automation and Control», the winner and prize-winners in the team standings are determined:
1st place - K. Satpayev Kazakh National Research Technical University;
2nd place - Kazakh-British Technical University;
2nd place - S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University;
3rd place - A. Saginov Karaganda State Technical University;
3rd place - Shakarim State University;
3rd place - L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
