Energo University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumbarbek Daukeev) hosted the international scientific-practical conference «Achievements and Application of Artificial Intelligence in Automation, Management, and Information Technologies». Esteemed scientists, industry practitioners, educators, as well as doctoral students, master's students, and undergraduates from Germany, Kazakhstan, the USA, Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Poland, Ukraine, Malaysia, Kyrgyzstan, Peru, and Portugal participated. The conference featured a total of 139 presentations prepared by 322 participants from 14 foreign and 23 Kazakhstani universities.
The conference was held at the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies, comprising three departments: IT Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Automation and Control. Presentations and discussions took place during the plenary session and within three thematic sections:
- Scientific-methodological approaches of intelligent automation and control systems,
- Digital technologies in engineering systems,
- Digital and intelligent technologies in energy
Participants actively discussed the current application of artificial intelligence technologies in various human activities. Dr. Marat Nurgozhin, a technical sciences doctor and head of the Kazakhstan National Center for Space Research and Technologies, presented on «Space Technologies and Artificial Intelligence». Associate Professor Alexander Pak from the Kazakhstan-British Technical University discussed contemporary trends in the development of artificial intelligence in the medical field. Professor Irbulat Utepbergenov from the Department of Automation and Control at Energo University shared experiences in researching, developing, and implementing intelligent digital technologies. Renowned Kazakhstani scientist, Dr. Mamyrbek Beisenbi, demonstrated the capabilities of self-organizing control systems for unstable chaotic processes.
The plenary session also featured presentations from other international scholars: Muslim Arici from Kocaeli University (Turkey), Samir Rustamov from the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, Dr. Leonid Bobrov from Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management, among others.
- This scientific-practical conference provided a real platform for discussing and demonstrating ideas and achievements in the field of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, - noted Igor Fedorenko, chairman of the program committee and director of the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies at Energo University. - Our conference is further evidence that artificial intelligence today is the object of the most intense scrutiny, both from scientific and practical perspectives.
