AUPET representatives take part in the largest cyber security conference "KazHackStan Toitarys - 2022"

The largest practical conference on cyber security in Central Asia "KazHackStan Toitarys - 2022" is held in Almaty from September 14-16 at Atakent (Bakshasaray Reception House).

More than 2000 registered participants, about 30 speakers from all over the world, 16 hacker teams, 68 hackers and 1 large cyber-polygon represent the cyber-conference.

The key speaker of the conference is JAYSON E.STREET, one of the world's most famous hackers. He is the author of a series of books "Dissecting the hack: Series book series".

AUPET representatives take part as listeners in the regional cyber exercises of the International Telecommunication Union and as participants in a massive hacking of the city infrastructure presented at the cyber training ground.

The task of the participants is to go through 3 levels of difficulty, hack the internal network, find vulnerabilities in the domain network and enter the life support management system of the city infrastructure. The most difficult task of hacking is considered to be the business environment (industry, production). The strongest hackers must disable the supply of water supply, electricity, traffic lights, trains, wind farms based on SCAT systems.

"Leaders who manage to break the most difficult business risks will receive high scores and at the finish line they will be awarded with memorable gifts and a cash prize," said Danil Tursumbaev. He is a Senior Penetration Tester of the “Red team” department, a graduate of AUPET with a degree in Information Security Systems.

The Directorate of the Institute of Information Technologies, heads of departments, teachers in the specializations of IT engineering and information systems and cybersecurity, and the director of the youth policy department supported their students and graduates of AUPET.
