150th Anniversary of Akhmet Baitursynov at AUPET and awarding of leaders of universities with the Order named after Akhmet Baitursynov

The grand opening of the 150th anniversary of Akhmet Baitursynov was held at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev.

Today, September 5, marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Akhmet Baitursynov. He was a teacher of the nation, a Turkologist, an Alash figure, a reformer of national writing, a founder of the science of the Kazakh language and literature.

Scientists, teachers, students and heads of higher educational institutions took part in the opening ceremony of the Year of Akhmet Baitursynov at AUPET.

An exhibition of works at AUPET and publications of Akhmet Baitursynov and solemn reports of the heads of universities were held as part of the opening of the laying of flowers at the monument to Akhmet Baitursynov.

• "Akhmet Baitursynov - Leader of the Century", Rector of the South Kazakhstan State University named after Mukhtar Auezov, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Kozhamzharova Dariya Perneshovna.
• “The fundamental principles of Akhmet Baitursynov in reforming education: a view from the future”, Rector of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev, Doctor of Economics, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Sagintayeva Saule Savetovna.

The awarding of the Akhmet Baitursynov Order for many years of fruitful work in the field of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the rectors of the universities of AUPET and the South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezov was the end of the solemn event. Rahman Alshanov, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician, Rector of Turan University, President of the Association of Higher Educational Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented awards.

The name of the great educator Akhmet Baitursynov is included in the annals of national history. His spiritual legacy is priceless. Kazakhstanis rightfully call Akhmet Baitursynov the Teacher of the Nation and honor his memory.
