Since February 20, 2025, the University of Energy and Communications has been hosting a large-scale Hackathon “Telekom 360" scientific innovation project competition among students of universities and colleges in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the ongoing project is:
- To develop innovative solutions in the field of telecommunications technology.
- Identify talented youth.
- Stimulate interest in operation, design and development modern information systems.
- Introduction to a new format for solving team tasks.
- Development of creative thinking.
- Training and development of our own young professionals, teachers and students.
- The possibility of live communication between young people and managers and experts of leading companies and universities in Kazakhstan.
Tasks:
- To form basic knowledge on the subject of the hackathon.
- Develop practical skills.
- Learn how to present ideas and products in the form of short reports and presentations (pitches).
- Demonstrating the capabilities of the younger generation in creating innovative solutions and approaches for education.
- Increasing interest in the use of new formats and technologies in the educational process.
- Expanding the horizons of one's vision of one's prospects when developing a project on a given topic.
The Hackathon is organized by the Department of Telecommunications Engineering at the Institute of Communications and Space Engineering of the University of Energy and Communications.

According to the results of the Telekom 360 Hackathon competition, the winners will be awarded with valuable gifts, cash prizes from partners and the University administration.
