A lecture for students was held at Energo University, delivered by Rauan Asylkhanov, an officer for especially important cases at the Department of Economic Investigations for the city of Almaty under the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was organized as part of an initiative to improve financial literacy among youth and prevent involvement in illegal schemes.
The main topic of the meeting was the exposure of modern financial fraud schemes. The speaker explained who "drops" are — individuals used to cash out or transfer money, often as part of criminal activities. Special attention was given to pyramid schemes — schemes disguised as investment projects that promise quick profits.
Energo University urges students to stay informed, remain vigilant, and avoid suspicious offers that could jeopardize their future careers and personal safety.
