On June 26, 2025, the rector of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev (Energo University), Gani Nygymetov, took part in a visiting session of the Public Council of the Anti-Corruption Agency, held in Karaganda.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Service Askhat Zhumagali, Akim of the Karaganda region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev, members of the public, heads of law enforcement and government agencies, as well as big quasi-governmental companies.
Specific measures to reduce corruption risks in key areas, from public procurement to land distribution, were discussed. Special attention was paid to the issues of youth involvement in the anti-corruption movement, the promotion of Adal Azamat (Honest Citizen) values and the development of volunteer services in this area.
