The first rector of the Almaty Institute of Energy. In 1957, he graduated from the Kazakh Agricultural Institute as an electrical engineer. From 1957 to 1959, he worked as a duty engineer at Ozernaya HPP-1 Alma-Ataenergo, and from 1959 to 1960, he was a junior researcher at the Altai Mining and Metallurgical Research Institute (Ust-Kamenogorsk). From 1960 to 1975, he worked as a senior engineer, chief engineer of the Problem Laboratory, and head of the Plasma Processes Laboratory (senior researcher) at the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute. In 1964, he defended his Ph.D. dissertation, and in 1965 he was awarded the title of senior researcher in the new field of "Electrophysics" for Kazakhstan. In 1971, he was elected head of the Department of Power Supply to Industrial Enterprises and head of the Plasma Processes Laboratory, and in 1973, he became dean of the Faculty of Energy. From 1975 to 1985, he was the first rector of the Almaty Institute of Energy, and from 1985 to 1991, he was the head of the department. From 1991 to 1996, he served as vice president of the Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since 2004, he has been a professor at the Department of Power Supply and Renewable Energy Sources (PSEE) at the Almaty University of Energy and Communications (AUEC). Author of over 300 scientific publications, he holds 106 patents. Doctor of Technical Sciences (December 17, 1970), Professor (December 21, 1971).

1975—1985 — the first rector of the Almaty Institute of Energy, 1985—1991 - head of the department. 1991—1996 — vice president of the Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since 2004, professor at the Department of Power Supply and Renewable Energy Sources (PSEE) at the Almaty University of Energy and Communications (AUEC).
